In the Buggy Museum thread, it was suggested that alums who have retired buggies could bring them for specific events and display them. Mad Dog, QL, and T2 were brought out for homecoming, and it was a huge success.
So, who has a buggy in their basement and would be interested in bringing them to carnival (april 17th-18th) to be displayed? What would "being displayed" involve? Right now, there are two events ( History of Buggy and a reception ), one following shortly after the other at the same location. No times have been decided for these events, but Friday shortly after prelims seems like the more popular day right now. The current thinking is that the buggies could be displayed at these two events. Obviously, if you have a buggy and want to bring it, we want your input.
So if you are interested in bringing a buggy to carnival, reply to this thread (or if you know someone who is interested, poke them to reply), and we'll see yinz on the hills!

Just so I can prevent any questions. I will NOT be presenting any buggies at Carnival this year.

Re: Carnival Events - Retired Buggys on Display
It's time again to put the call out: Retired buggies of the world, unite!
We're going to have a table at Design Comp with space for buggies to be seen. In addition, Matt Wagner is set to do his talk from 12-2 on Thursday during Design. On top of that, Tom Wood is giving us the History of Buggy on Friday at 1:00.
Three spaces, lots of exposure. They can, of course, be displayed with your organization instead.
If you're coming to Carnival, and if you can strap a buggy or two to the top of your car, please consider bringing it out.
