Quiet around here...

Pretty quiet around here so far this year, I guess there's no discussion-worthy drama, eh?

There's been plenty of discussion on the new posts, so maybe thing have just shifted?

There will be a lot of activity this week for sure, definitely in the next few days from us at least, keep your eyes peeled for more goodies to come out!

Plenty of discussion worthy stuff

Odds on spirit spin?
Does RD2013 have the Sauce to beat SDC at its own game?
Last two in/two out for second day?
Best year/worst year?

Spirit --> from what I hear they've gotten it together this year. I'll give their A team a 70% chance

I wildly claim that RD2013 spanks anything SDC has.

Last two in -- SigNu A, SDC C
Last two out -- CIA A, Fringe C

Best year -- PiKA retakes the title by 1.5 seconds using RD2013.
Worst year -- Fringe's new roller fails to live up to expectations on rubber that was popular 3 years ago.

That should stir the pot nicely.

When does Compubookie publish? That'll stir things up.

If the race were a straight line, that could very well be true.

Best year -- SigEp moves up a step.
Worst year -- Fringe doesn't collect a design trophy for their new buggy.

Boldest predictions ever:

SigEp and Spirit will battle for 1 and 2 (kiiiindda biased)
Fringe, SDC and PiKA will battle it out for 3, 4 and 5. Unless SDC has their 10312 electric heater tied to propane tanks stacked 5-high in their truck (Too soon?) , and RD2013 doesn't spin
CIA will make a surprise top-7 appearance
Fringe will not win 1st place design this year.
SigNu will sneak into 10th, somehow

"Interesting" heats:

Men's 1: PiKA B hasn't been rolling all that fast, and crashy, and there's the C team grudge match behind them, so the carnage potential is high.

Men's 2: Apex might get a pass or two in.

Men's 5: Our one chance to see Fringe vs SDC head-to-head.

Men's 10: SDC A's the only top contender that looks to have a tight race up Hill 1 (the same matchup tied last year). If their Hill 2 can't pull the same lead he did last year, CIA has the lane between SDC and the curb, and the drivers can't see each other... Obviously SDC will pull away on the freeroll, but having to stay out of each other's way only hurts both their races.

Men's 2: I think if SAE is able to stay ahead of Apex on the front hills, they'll keep it through the freeroll. SigEp B will probably get over the hill first, but I don't know how quick their freeroll will compare to the other two.

Men's 10: I know there's some interest in putting your top team against another top team, but that usually involves there being enough of a gap that you wouldn't be able to catch them once they broke away. Here's hoping SDC gives an early push off to stay ahead...

Women's 3: I don't know what pusher's SDC has for their C team this year, but SAE could give them a run for their money if Lucy rolls as well as she has been.
