Hey Now,
I'm having a buggy discussion with some of my fellow Alums and a few questions came up regarding buggy rules:
1) We were wondering if GoPros or other video cameras were prohibited inside or on the buggies?
2) What are the campus rules regarding drones in general and especially on race day.
Thanks,
~ Chris

Re: Rules question
Chris,
I have an inkling of what you might be thinking of with this, but here's a couple answers.
1) There is no rule against having cameras on buggies, teams use them very frequently to record rolls and for practice, though on raceday, they take them off to remove extra weight or drag.
2) As of now, we're not aware of any official stance by the university on drones during raceday. That said, we are aware that cmuTV has done some research into it, and may have had a talk with CMU liability about it.
hope this helps!
