rules

Post by abordick »

Does anyone have a copy of the rules that are in place for this year? I'd like to get up to speed on the book prior to raceday.

Thanks,
Bordick

I was actually just looking for one. They were previously at www.andrew.cmu.edu/~buggy but seem to have been removed.

The version in the Reference section is also at least a couple years out of date, but has much changed recently? http://www.cmubuggy.org/reference/Rules

I don't think there have been any changes since 09, but I have a couple emails from the Sweepstakes DL that imply otherwise. Don't know where those changes are reflected, though.

I had the same question. I could have sworn that there have been rule amendments post May 2009, but that's apparently what they are referring to for rules. I got that same copy from Ben.

I'll double check when I get a chance -- I think there might be a few.

Would be nice to put this on github or something that shows revisions eventually.

Good idea McCue ;)

But seriously, let's do this.

UPDATE: Looks like BJ Cohen has put something together on Git already. In latex but it's a start... https://github.com/bjcohen/buggy

I should make mention of the fact that this was Mizel's idea, but in all fairness I thought I could pass it off as my own and he would never know.

Here is the latest version of the rules I've been involved in:
https://github.com/ahundt/buggy

For those not aware I was chairman in '09 and implmented those rule changes. I think there was at least one minor change since then but I'm not sure.
