How can we get more involved?

Post by janicesg »

Hey BAA, I would love to get more involved with BAA and help out wherever possible, especially since carnival is a mere 2 months away! I'm sure others feel the same way. Is there a way to join the "core" team of decision makers? Does anyone else feel the same way?

good question. we definitely don't want to leave anyone out of the loop that wants to be involved. Right now, we communicate through this forum and through an e-mail list that currently includes the "committee" which is about 6 people.

We try to figure things out on the forum to maximize transparency and to get people involved, but sometimes you want to do some figuring before things are public. It's also a bit less efficient because people check the forum less often than their e-mail.

The other answer would be to add anyone to the committee e-mail list that wants to get more involved. We don't have any problem with that, we just don't want to bombard anyone's inbox or make the list so large that people feel weird using it for small things. We've got a ways to go before that's a problem though.

So Janice, I'll add you, and if anyone else wants to get more into the workings of the BAA, we'd love to have you. Just reply to this thread or send me an e-mail.

We have posted a new page on the site that details what, when, and who of all of the projects the buggy alumni association is trying to accomplish this raceday. Take a look and see if you feel inspired to get involved with any of the projects.
